Alice chose LWS Suzhou because of its unique international educational philosophy and rich AP curriculum system. She recalled, "The course settings of LWS Suzhou are very flexible, which can meet the academic needs of different students. Moreover, the excellent faculty team makes me believe that I can get good education here."

在苏州美高，Alice不仅学习了AP乐理课程，还得到了音乐老师Eve的悉心指导。Eve老师不仅帮助她夯实了乐理基础，还鼓励她参加音乐节、比赛和音乐会，积累了丰富的背景提升经历。

At LWS Suzhou, Alice not only studied the AP Music Theory course but also received careful guidance from her music teacher, Ms. Eve. Ms. Eve not only helped her consolidate her music theory foundation but also encouraged her to participate in music festivals, competitions, and concerts, accumulating rich experiences for her background enhancement.

回顾在美高的几年，Alice坦言最大的挑战是学术课程的国际化程度。“撰写全英文的学术论文时，不仅要保证内容的准确性和深度，还要符合学术规范，这对我来说是一个很大的挑战。”

Looking back on her years at LWS Suzhou, Alice admitted that the biggest challenge was the internationalization of the academic courses. "When writing academic papers in English, I had to ensure the accuracy and depth of the content while also complying with academic standards. This was a significant challenge for me."

然而，正是这些挑战让她不断成长。她用乐观的心态面对每一次困难，把每一次挑战都当作成长的机会。

However, it was these challenges that made her grow continuously. With an optimistic attitude, she faced each difficulty and regarded every challenge as an opportunity for growth.

在申请大学的过程中，Alice认为文书写作是最艰难的阶段。“要在有限的篇幅内展现自己的独特经历、性格特点和未来规划，同时让招生官眼前一亮，这个过程花费了我大量的时间和精力。”但她凭借出色的个人展示能力和音乐才华，目前已经拿到了几所享誉国际的高等学府的offer，包括利物浦大学（QS2025世界大学排名165名）、威斯敏斯特大学（其传媒与媒体专业在2020QS世界大学学科排名中位列全英第6，全世界第31）、诺丁汉特伦特大学（该校的艺术和设计学院的相关专业，在QS世界大学专业排名中名列前10%（世界前50-100）。

During her university application process, Alice found the essay writing to be the most challenging part. “Condensing my unique experiences, personality, and future aspirations into a limited space while capturing the attention of admissions officers was a demanding task that required significant time and effort,” she said. However, thanks to her outstanding personal presentation skills and musical talent, she has already received offers from several internationally renowned institutions of higher learning, including the University of Liverpool (ranked 165th in the QS World University Rankings 2025), the University of Westminster (whose Communication and Media program ranked 6th in the UK and 31st globally in the 2020 QS World University Rankings by Subject), and Nottingham Trent University (whose Art and Design programs are ranked in the top 10% globally (50th–100th) in the QS World University Rankings by Subject).

Alice’s passion for music began with her love for singing. She said, “I simply enjoy singing. My interest in music has led me to want to write songs, and in the future, I hope to open my own studio.” At LWS Suzhou, she not only received help from her music teachers but also gained a wealth of experience by participating in various musical activities. Reflecting on her journey, she remarked, “Participating in the diverse activities organized by the school is truly unforgettable.”

Tony opted for LWS Suzhou due to its highly appealing curriculum, especially in sciences, arts, and sociology. He recalled, "LWS's flexible curriculum allowed me to explore different fields freely and develop my interests." At LWS, Tony studied advanced courses like AP BC and received guidance from teachers, especially in math. He fondly remembered, "The most memorable moment was discussing my personal development with my math teacher. His advice on academic excellence and exploring diverse interests truly inspired me, giving me a clearer future plan."

回顾在苏州美高的几年，Tony坦言最大的挑战是如何平衡学术压力和个人兴趣之间的关系。“学校提供了很多丰富的课程和课外活动，让我有机会接触到不同领域的知识，但同时也要面对高强度的学术要求。有时我会感到很有压力，尤其是在选择是否要深入某个特定领域时。这让我学会了更好地管理时间、安排优先级，也让我更明确自己未来的方向。”

Looking back on his years at LWS Suzhou, Tony found the biggest challenge was balancing academic pressure with personal interests. "The school offered a wealth of courses and extracurricular activities, giving me the chance to explore various fields of knowledge, while also facing high academic demands. Sometimes I felt stressed, especially when deciding whether to delve deeper into a specific area. This taught me to better manage my time, set priorities, and clarified my future direction."

Similarly, during the university application process, Tony found that essay writing was the most challenging part. “Essays demand that you express your unique experiences while also highlighting your overall qualities and future potential within a limited word count. Fortunately, I received a lot of support from my teachers in this regard. The school’s guidance teachers helped me organize my thoughts and provided a lot of valuable feedback, which enabled me to present myself better.”Thanks to his outstanding academic achievements and personal presentation skills, Tony has already received offers from several world-renowned universities, including the University of Toronto (ranked first in Canada and in the TOP21 of the 2025 QS World University Rankings), Stony Brook University (ranked TOP58 in the 2025 U.S. News World Report), and Binghamton University (ranked TOP94 in the 2025 U.S. News World Report).

Tony’s academic dream began with his passion for mathematics. He said, “I believe that mathematics is the foundation. How can you study physics without mathematics? How can you study anything else? In the future, I hope to pursue further education, to go to graduate school and earn a Ph.D., and to use the power of mathematics to explore more unknown fields.”The learning environment at LWS Suzhou exposed Tony to a variety of subjects and areas of interest. He did not confine himself to exploring just one subject. Instead, he hoped to broaden his horizons and understand the complexity of the world through a diversified learning experience.
