In Secondary School, we offer the English Immersion Program and the English as an Additional Language (EAL) Program for students who need extra support in learning English.

The English Immersion Program comprises Four Levels: 

1️⃣ Standard English Acquisition,

2️⃣ Intermediate English Acquisition,

3️⃣ Extended English Acquisition,

4️⃣ Advanced English Acquisition.

This program emphasizes developing English language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and cultural understanding.

In the EAL program, students receive additional academic support to enhance their English proficiency, which in turn improves their understanding of other subjects.

Students enrolled in the English Immersion Program, particularly at the standard level, will continue their studies in Chinese and Mathematics to ensure they maintain academic progress in these essential subjects. Regular assessments occur every 6-8 weeks to evaluate student growth, considering tests, homework completion, daily performance, and learning attitudes. Students will advance to the next level upon passing these assessments.

Throughout the program, parents will receive regular reports via Toddle and can schedule individual meetings with teachers to discuss their child's learning progress.

在中学阶段，我们为那些在英语学习方面需要额外帮助的学生提供英语沉浸式强化课程和英语作为第二语言（EAL）课程。

英语沉浸式强化课程分为四个阶段：

1️⃣ 基础英语，

2️⃣ 中级英语，

3️⃣ 拓展英语，

4️⃣ 高级英语。

该课程着重培养英语语言技能，包括听力、口语、阅读、写作、语法、词汇以及文化理解等方面。

在EAL的课程中，学生们会获得额外的学术支持，以提高他们的英语水平，而这一学习过程也会促进他们对其他学科的理解。

参加英语沉浸式强化课程，尤其是基础英语学习阶段的学生，将继续学习中文和数学，以确保他们在这些基础学科上保持学业进步。每 6 至 8 周，老师会进行一次常规评估，以评估学生的进步情况，包括测试成绩、作业完成情况、日常表现以及学习态度等。学生如果通过这些评估，将会升入下一阶段的学习。

在整个课程学习期间，家长将通过Toddle系统定期收到报告，可以与老师安排单独会面，讨论孩子的学习情况。

Program Features

✏️ English Immersion: Classes are conducted exclusively in English. Teachers encourage students to communicate, even if they struggle, fostering a supportive conversation environment.

✏️ Interactive and Inclusive Environment: The classroom promotes a student-led, engaging atmosphere that is supportive and comfortable for all learners.

✏️ Small Class Sizes: Small Class provides significant advantages for learning English, as many students benefit from individual attention from the teacher. This structure allows for more personalized instruction, fosters collaboration among peers, and enables tailored activities that meet each student's unique needs. By working in smaller groups, students can participate more actively, ask questions, and receive immediate feedback, ultimately boosting their confidence and language skills.

✏️ Diverse Learning Activities: A variety of activities enhance English learning and cultural understanding, including teamwork, peer observations, group and individual projects, and presentations.

✏️ Major Apps Used: Key applications utilized in the program include IXL, Accelerated Reader, myON, Duolingo, and others.

Learning English takes time and patience. Our dedicated English teachers are always available to provide support and tutoring for those who need extra help. The English Immersion Program and EAL Program are key programs designed to assist every student in adapting to an English-speaking environment. Many of our students have shown improved confidence by participating in this course, highlighting its positive impact on their academic and personal growth.
