2025年5月26日下午，上海宏润博源高级中学的剧场内如期举行了英文戏剧节，为在场的师生们带来了一个充满艺术气息和青春活力的午后时光。这一场由高级音乐戏剧、表演艺术入门、歌唱与合唱选修课以及演讲与口才课程四大团队联袂呈现的学期成果展演。 剧场内座无虚席，每一张年轻的面孔上都写满了期待。

On the afternoon of May 26, 2025, the auditorium of Shanghai Hongrun Boyuan High School came alive with creativity and passion as the much-anticipated English Drama Festival unfolded. This vibrant showcase featured the semester’s achievements from four courses: Advanced Musical Theatre, Intro Performance Art, Vocal and Choral Elective course, and Speech and Rhetorics. The theater was full of audience, and the anticipation was written on every young face in the audience.

演出在悠扬的歌声中拉开帷幕。首先登场的是来自合唱选修课的同学们，他们带来了意大利作曲家普契尼歌剧《图兰朵》中的经典咏叹调——“Nessun Dorma”（今夜无人入睡）。 梁同学、宋同学、任同学、袁同学、曲同学 同学用他们高亢而富有穿透力的歌声，完美诠释了卡拉夫王子对胜利的渴望与对公主的深情，正如歌词所言“黎明时分，我将获胜！”，瞬间点燃了全场观众的热情。 

The performance began on a soaring note. Students from the Vocal and Choral elective course opened the event with a powerful rendition of “Nessun Dorma”, the iconic aria from Puccini’s opera “Turandot”. Jenny Liang, Shelly Song, Celestine Ren,  Regulus Yuan, and Jerry Qu delivered a moving and resonant performance that captured Prince Calaf’s longing for victory and love. As the lyrics proclaimed, “At dawn, I will win!”—the audience was instantly captivated.

紧接着，演讲与口才课程的王同学、张同学、陈同学等 以其自信的台风和清晰的表达，引领观众们穿梭于一系列经典的戏剧片段之中。无论是《巨蟒与圣杯》中令人捧腹的“法国人的嘲讽” ，演员们夸张的语调和表情引得台下笑声连连；还是亚瑟·米勒名作《萨勒姆的女巫》中，帕里斯牧师对阿比盖尔那段充满张力的质问 ，紧张的气氛让观众仿佛也置身于1692年那个压抑的塞勒姆小镇。而《粉红豹再出击》中对员工们那段令人啼笑皆非的审问 ，则展现了同学们驾驭喜剧的才能。此外，根据真实历史事件改编的《邦蒂号叛舰记》中的哗变场景 ，以及西部喜剧《三个朋友》中那句经典的“哦，太好了，真子弹！” ，都被同学们演绎得有声有色，充分展现了演讲与口才课程的教学成果和学生们的舞台表现力。每一个片段间的衔接朗读，也体现了小主持人们的机智与流畅。

Next, students from the Speech and Rhetorics class—Kimi Wang, Ken Zhang, Christine Wang, Joanna Chen, Luca Zhu, Candy Li, Hedy Wu, Nemo Ni, Michael Wu, Wilson Shen, Kevin Gu, Melody Gao, and Beverly Xiao—guided the audience through a series of classic dramatic excerpts with confidence and clarity. Their engaging stage presence shone through, whether it was the hilariously exaggerated “French Taunt” scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which had the audience roaring with laughter, or the tense confrontation between Reverend Parris and Abigail from Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, which drew the audience into the suffocating atmosphere of Salem in 1692. Their comedic timing sparkled in the interrogation scene from The Pink Panther Strikes Again, and their dramatic intensity impressed in the mutiny scene from Mutiny on the Bounty, based on real historical events. Even the humorous line “Oh great, real bullets!” from the Western comedy Three Amigos was delivered with flair. The smooth transitions between scenes, led by student hosts, further showcased their wit and fluency.

演出的第二部分，则将观众完全带入了安德鲁·劳埃德·韦伯的传世之作——音乐剧《歌剧魅影》的宏大而神秘的世界。 表演艺术入门和高级音乐戏剧课程的同学们承担了这次挑战。从第一幕“包厢五的神秘人”中，伴随着悠扬的“Think of Me”歌声（由Jenny Liang饰演的克里斯汀演唱） ，到第二幕中，Kevin Zhong饰演的魅影与Decem Lu饰演的克里斯汀共同演绎的“魅影之歌”与“夜之乐章”，那如梦似幻的旋律与表演令人沉醉。 第三幕则将戏剧冲突推向高潮：“策划他的命运”、“克里斯汀与拉乌尔”（由Han Zhong饰演拉乌尔，Shona Shen饰演克里斯汀）的深情对唱，以及最终在“剧院惊魂夜”中，魅影（David Kong饰）登场所演唱的“无路可退”，每一个音符，每一句台词都扣人心弦。 最后的“终曲”场面中，Jenny Liang的克里斯汀，Kevin Zhong的魅影与Jiahe Liu的拉乌尔之间的情感纠葛，为这部经典剧目画上了令人唏嘘的句点。 同学们不仅歌声动人，表演也极具张力，将角色的内心世界诠释得颇具神韵，赢得了台下阵阵掌声。

The second half of the performance transported the audience into the grand and mysterious world of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s timeless masterpiece, The Phantom of the Opera. Students from the Intro Performance Art and Advanced Musical Theatre class took on this formidable challenge. From the very first scene, “The Phantom of Box Five,” and the haunting beauty of “Think of Me” (performed by Jenny Liang as Christine), to the mesmerizing duets “The Phantom of the Opera” and “Music of the Night” by the Phantom (performed by Kevin Zhong) and Christine(performed by Decem Lu)—the audience was enthralled. The drama reached its peak in Act III: “Plotting His Fate,” the heartfelt duet between Christine (performed by Shona Shen) and Raoul (performed by Han Zhong), and the climactic “Final Lair” scene where Phantom (performed by David Kong) sang the desperate and powerful “No Way Back.” Every note, every line, resonated deeply. In the poignant final scene, the emotional entanglements between Christine (performed by Jenny Liang), the Phantom (performed by Kevin Zhong), and Raoul (performed by Jiahe Liu) brought this classic story to a stirring conclusion. The students delivered not only compelling vocal performances but also emotionally nuanced acting, capturing the characters’ inner worlds and earning wave after wave of applause.

当终场音乐《最炫民族风》欢快奏响，所有演员同学登台谢幕，全场掌声雷动，为这场成功的“戏剧午后”画上了圆满的句号。这不仅仅是一场精彩的演出，更是一次艺术的巡礼，一次青春力量的集中展现。它如同一扇窗，让我们窥见了同学们在戏剧世界中所焕发出的光彩与潜力。我们深深感受到，每一个角色，每一句台词，每一段旋律，都凝聚了同学们在戏剧表演类课程中的学习成果与辛勤汗水。此次演出也承载着一份特殊的纪念，特别致敬了 A. Ruby Spence 女士，让这份艺术的呈现更添一份温馨与敬意。 

As the lively tune of “The Most Dazzling Folk Style” played for the curtain call, all the performers went to the stage once more, greeted by thunderous applause. It was a triumphant ending to an unforgettable “afternoon of drama.” But beyond the performances, this event was a celebration of art, youth, and collaboration. It offered a window into the brilliance and potential of these young performers and stood as a testament to their dedication and growth throughout their drama studies. This special production also held a deeper meaning, paying tribute to Ms. A. Ruby Spence, and adding a heartfelt note of gratitude and respect to the occasion.

期待未来，博源的戏剧舞台将绽放出更加绚丽的光彩，也祝愿所有师生拥有一个充满阳光与收获的夏天！
